Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno Given UFC 256 ‘Fight of the Night’ Award

UFC 256’s flyweight main event between Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno did not find a winner on Saturday, although both fighters were awarded “Fight of the Night” for their performances.

The title fight, which ended in a draw, took place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

The fighters were awarded an extra $50,000 on top of their previously negotiated fight purse for the award.

The five-round fight between Figueiredo and Moreno saw a high-pace throughout all 25 minutes of action. A turning point in the fight came in the third round, where Figueiredo was deducted a point for an accidental kick to the groin.

Kevin Holland and Rafael Fiziev were also awarded $50,000, both being given the “Performance of the Night” award.

Holland made history in his fight, becoming the only UFC fighter to win five fights in 2020. His main card win saw him finish former Strikeforce champ and UFC veteran Jacare Souza.

Fiziev had a powerful win on the preliminary card, stringing together a combination of strikes that stopped Renato Moicano in the first round.
