A light heavyweight bout has joined the UFC 257 lineup, as Khalil Rountree and Marcin Prachnio will meet on the card. The January 23rd fight was announced by the promotion during their UFC 256 broadcast on Saturday.
The fight joins a pay-per-view card that does not have a location announced currently.
Prachnio has struggled since entering the UFC in 2018. Having fought three times in the promotion now, he has yet to win a fight. Prachnio’s last fight was in August, where Mike Rodriguez stopped him with strikes in the third minute of action.
Prachnio entered the promotion with a strong eight-fight win streak which included four wins in Singapore-based promotion ONE Championship.
Rountree lost his last fight, being stopped early by Ion Cutelaba in September of 2019. Rountree was scheduled to fight Sam Alvey in March of 2020 before COVID-19 forced events to be cancelled.
