PFL fighter Kayla Harrison has been removed from Thursday’s Titan FC event after her opponent Jozette Cotton was hospitalized following an unsuccessful weight cut. Per a report from Eric Kowal of MyMMANews, Cotton was admitted to the hospital after weighting 180-pounds ahead of her 155-pound fight.
The matchup was scheduled to take place on the Titan FC 66 card at the InterContinental Hotel in Miami, Florida, USA.
The bout was scheduled to be Harrison’s second during PFL’s offseason. Still slated to compete in PFL’s 2021 season which begins in April, Harrison has been allowed to compete outside the promotion for the time being.
Harrison won her first fight outside of PFL in November, defeating Courtney King in a dominating performance at Invicta FC 43. The fight was also her first at featherweight after previously competing as a lightweight.
The bout on Thursday was scheduled to be a rematch from a 2018 fight between the two in PFL. Harrison won the fight, stopping Cotton in the third round of action.
Cotton has fought at lightweight for most of her career and has even dropped down to 145-pounds in the past.
