After testing positive for COVID-19, Anthony Hernandez has been removed from his January 16th UFC booking against Rodolfo Vieira. The fight has been moved to a February 13th UFC card due to the test.
Hernandez announced the positive test through his Instagram page on Friday.
“Bad news is the fights delayed — 2020 left me with the COVID[-19],” said Hernandez in his statement.
The fight joins a UFC lineup that does not have a location confirmed for it yet.
Hernandez will look to bounce back from a loss in February. His last fight was back in May, where Kevin Holland stopped him within a minute with strikes.
Still undefeated as a pro, Vieira won his seventh fight in March, defeating Saparbeg Safarov with an arm triangle choke.
