A light heavyweight matchup between Johnny Walker and Jimmy Crute has been booked for a March 27th UFC event. The matchup was first reported by Brett Okamoto of ESPN on Saturday.
The fight is the first to be announced for a March 27th date, which does not have a location attached to it at the moment.
Crute enters the fight after a strong 2020 that saw him get two finish wins. Crute bounced back from his first loss as a pro in February of 2020, defeating Michal Oleksiejczuk with a first-round kimura. Crute returned in October to defeat Modestas Bukauskas within a round with punches.
Walker snapped a two-fight win streak in his last fight, putting together a combination of strikes that stopped Ryan Spann in the first round. Entering his third year in the UFC, Walker has a promotional record of five wins and two losses.
