UFC is selling tickets for their trio of January events that are scheduled to take place at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The three events, which include UFC 257, will be held at the Etihad Arena.
The events plan to be UFC’s first with a paid attendance since UFC 248, which took place in early March of 2020 in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. The global spread of COVID-19 made UFC go on a short break after March, later returning in May with events behind closed doors.
The Etihad Arena website currently has tickets on sale for shows on January 16th, 20th and 23rd. The number of fans allowed in the venue will be lower than it’s capacity due to COVID-19 restrictions.
The venue has a list of health and safety protocols on their site ahead of the events. Among the rules are mandatory face masks at all times, temperature checks and social distancing. They ask guests to arrive one hour before the event to help with the health screening.
UFC’s previous events at “Fight Island” in the United Arab Emirates were held at the Flash Forum, a location that was not built to hold a live attendance.
