After picking up his UFC debut win in 2020, Dricus Du Plessis has been booked against Trevin Giles for a March 20th UFC “Fight Night” card. First reported by Farah Hannoun and Nolan King of MMA Junkie, the fight joins a growing card that does not have a location reported for it at the moment.
Du Plessis made his UFC debut in October, stepping in for Rodolfo Vieira in a fight against Markus Perez. Du Plessis earned a stoppage victory in the first round of the fight, dropping Perez with a left hook in the fourth minute of action. The win was Du Plessis’ first appearance in UFC following a strong run in KSW and EFC.
Giles will enter the bout following a strong 2020 that saw him earn two victories. Giles started the year in February, where he defeated James Krause in a split decision. He returned in November, where he stopped Bevon Lewis in the third round with strikes.
The wins for Giles in 2020 saw him bounce back from a two-fight losing streak.
