Bevon Lewis has been given a $1,200 fine and six-month suspension by the Nevada Athletic Commission for a failed drug test in November that showed marijuana in his system.
The test in relation to the suspension was taken back in November in the lead-up to his fight against Trevin Giles. Since Lewis lost the fight, the result was not overturned by the commission (a common practice by the commission would be to overturn a result if a fighter won a fight and was flagged in a drug test).
The loss for Lewis was his third in the UFC in his fourth fight with the promotion. He was released following his loss.
