Rising heavyweights Ciryl Gane and Jairzinho Rozenstruick have been matched for UFC’s March 13th “Fight Night” card. The bout was first reported by LaSueur on Wednesday.
The bout joins a card that does not have a location reported for it at the moment.
The matchup is a pairing between two fighters who have been rapidly climbing the 265-pound division.
Gane has remained undefeated through four fights in the UFC. After facing numerous cancelled bouts in 2020, Gane had his first and only fight of the year in December, where he stopped Junior dos Santos in the second round with strikes. His three previous wins were in 2019.
Rozenstruick defeated dos Santos in his last fight as well, stopping the veteran with strikes back in August. The win for Rozenstruick saw him bounce back from his first loss as a pro, which he took in May of 2020 against Francis Ngannou.
Rozenstruick put together four UFC wins before his first loss.
The fight joins a card that currently has a main event between Leon Edwards and Khamzat Chimaev. Here are the fights that have been reported so far.
