The opponent for Teruto Ishihara in his returning fight this month has been announced to be Kazuma Sone. The fight will be on Shooto Japan’s January 31st card at the New Pier Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
Both fighters enter the bout following a losing streak.
Sone is currently on a five-fight losing streak that includes losses on Shooto Japan and RIZIN cards. His last fight was in April of 2020, where Joji Goto stopped him in the first round with a guillotine choke.
As previously reported in the month, Ishihara will be fighting outside of the UFC for the first time since 2015. Ishihara had a record of three wins, five losses and one draw in the promotion.
Ishihara last competed in February of 2019, where Kyung Ho Kang finished him within a round with a rear naked choke.
