Luana Pinheiro will make her UFC debut on March 27th, fighting strawweight veteran Randa Markos at UFC 260. The matchup was first reported by Combate.
The bout joins a pay-per-view card that does not have a confirmed location for it as of yet.
Pinheiro earned her UFC contract on the recent season of “Dana White’s Contender Series.” On the show in November, she defeated Stephanie Frausto in the first round with punches.
Her “Contender Series” fight came after a strong run on the regional scene that saw her pick up five-straight first-round stoppage wins.
Markos finds herself in a must-win situation in March. She enters the fight on a three-fight losing streak from bouts in 2020 and currently has an even amount of wins and losses with 10 each. She has never lost three-in-a-row in her career before.
Markos lost to a debuting fighter in her last bout, dropping a decision to former Invicta FC Champion Kanako Murata in November.
UFC 260 is currently scheduled to have a heavyweight and featherweight championship fight in the lineup. Here is what has been reported for it so far.
