KSW has placed punishment on fighters and personnel related to a brawl at their event last weekend in Lodz, Poland.
Per a report from Mike Bohn of MMA Junkie, the fallout of the event has resulted in fines, withheld bonuses and the banning of some involved.
The situation escalated greatly when Musaev bodyslammed Jurisic to the ground then attempted to throw ground and pound punches. The fighters were quickly pounced by a mix of security and cornermen.
Musaev was fined half his fight purse for the incident while Jurisic had 30 percent deducted. Both fighters were also denied their “Fight of the Night” bonus.
KSW also placed a ban on some who entered the cage during the incident.
“All the unauthorized persons, who entered the cage after the fight was over, are banned from taking part in the KSW events as members of fighters’ teams,” read a KSW statement obtained by MMA Junkie.
A specific suspension was placed on fighter Abus Magomedov, who is a KSW fighter and was in the corner of Musaev. KSW handed Magomedov a six-month suspension from competing along with a one-year suspension from cornering fighters.
The brawl took place after Jurisic’s KSW debut. The fight was Musaev’s third win under KSW and extended his undefeated record to 15 wins.
