Sean O’Malley Announces Potential UFC 260 Matchup Against Thomas Almeida

Sean O’Malley’s return to the cage could potentially be against Thomas Almeida at UFC 260. O’Malley announced the potential opponent and matchup through his personal Youtube channel on Tuesday, mentioning that he was sent a contract for the fight.

Should the matchup happen, it will join a pay-per-view card that does not have a confirmed location at the moment.

The return of O’Malley would see him look to bounce back following his first loss as a pro in 2020.

O’Malley was stopped by Marlon Vera within a round in his last showing. Vera got the win by capitalizing on a foot injury that was severely detrimental to O’Malley’s mobility throughout the fight.

O’Malley had four UFC wins prior to his loss to Vera.

Almeida would attempt to snap a three-fight losing streak in March. Almeida made his return to action in October, competing for the first time since 2018.

Almeida lost his fight in October via decision to Jonathan Martinez.
