Cage Warriors veteran Paddy Pimblett will compete for the promotion once again on March 20th, this time fighting newcomer Davide Martinez. The event will take place at Cage Warriors 122, the third event in a three-day series of shows being put on by the promotion at the York Hall in London, England.
Pimblett made his return to action in March of 2020, defeating Decky Dalton within a round with strikes. The fight was the former Cage Warriors Featherweight Champion’s first bout in over a year-and-a-half.
Pimblett’s return could have come sooner if not for five different bookings from 2018 to 2020 being cancelled for various reasons.
Martinez was meant to make his Cage Warriors debut last year against Pimblett, although that plan was thrown out after COVID-19 travel restrictions stopped him from entering the country.
Martinez enters Cage Warriors on an impressive six-fight win streak. His last win was in 2019, where he defeated Ion Voda in a unanimous decision.
The fight between Pimblett and Martinez joins a card that is currently set to have Cage Warriors Featherweight Champion Morgan Charriere in the main event against
