Don Madge has been given a new opponent for his March 13th return, as he is now being paired against Nasrat Haqparast on a UFC “Fight Night” card. Brett Okamoto of ESPN reported the booking on Wednesday.
The fight is set to join a card that does not have a set location for it at the moment.
Haqparast will take the place of Guram Kutateladze, who announced his withdrawal from the fight earlier in the week.
Haqparast’s last fight was in August, where he defeated Alex Munoz via unanimous decision, handing the UFC newcomer his first loss as a pro. Haqparast was scheduled to fight in January against Arman Tsarukyan, although he withdrew on short notice after falling ill.
Now with a new opponent, Madge no longer has his UFC return in jeopardy. The fight in March is set to be Madge’s first since 2019. The former EFC Lightweight Champion has won in both of his UFC bouts.
