Bantamweight Johnny Eduardo will make his return on March 20th after nearly three years outside of the cage, fighting Anthony Birchak on a UFC “Fight Night” card. News of the matchup was first reported by Nolan King and Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie.
The return of Eduardo will take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Eduardo will inherit a two-fight losing streak in March. His last fight was in June of 2018, where Nathaniel Wood caught him in the second round with a darce choke.
He will face Birchak, who is having somewhat of a return in his own right. The bout will be Birchak’s second since re-entering the UFC in 2020. Birchak previously competed in the UFC from 2014 to 2016, but left the roster after getting two wins and two losses.
After five fights on the regional scene, Birchak returned to the UFC in November with a short-notice fight against Gustavo Lopez. Birchak was not successful in his bout, getting finished in the first round with a rear naked choke.
