Featherweights Edson Barboza and Shane Burgos will clash at UFC’s May 15th event. The matchup was first reported by Raphael Marinho of Combate.
The fight joins a growing lineup that does not have a confirmed location at the moment.
Barboza will be returning after earning a much-needed victory in his last bout. The now decade-long UFC veteran snapped a three-fight skid in October, defeating Makwan Amirkhani via unanimous decision.
The previous losing streak was the longest of Barboza’s career.
Burgos will be returning after being handed a loss last year. Burgos had his three-fight run of wins from 2018 to 2019 stopped in June, as he dropped a unanimous decision to Josh Emmett.
Burgos was meant to fight on a card in January against Hakeem Dawodu, although the fight was cancelled after Dawodu suffered an injury.
UFC’s May 15th card continues to gain new bouts. The show does not have a reported main event as of yet, but here are the previously reported bouts.
