Tai Tuivasa has been given a new opponent for his March 20th UFC booking, as he is now scheduled to face promotional newcomer Harry Hunsucker in a heavyweight bout. News of the new matchup was first confirmed by Nolan King and John Morgan of MMA Junkie.
The matchup joins a card from the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Tuivasa was originally scheduled to fight Don’Tale Mayes, who reportedly withdrew from the fight on Wednesday. He will now have the chance to welcome Hunsucker into the UFC.
Hunsucker may be a familiar name to “Dana White’s Contender Series” viewers, as the heavyweight appeared on the show in November when he lost a fight to Jared Vanderaa.
Hunsucker has since rebounded from that loss on the regional scene, defeating Cory Moon within a minute last month at “HR MMA.”
Tuivasa is returning after ending a three-fight skid in the fall with a stoppage win against Stefan Struve.
