COVID-19 Protocol Forces Randa Markos Out of UFC 260 Bout Against Luana Pinheiro

UFC 260 has lost a fight, as COVID-19 protocol has forced Randa Markos out of her fight against Luana Pinheiro. The cancelled bout was first reported by Evelyn Rodrigues and Raphael Marinho of Combate.

The bout was scheduled to take place on March 27th at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

It is not known currently if Pinheiro will get a new opponent for what would be her first UFC fight.

Pinheiro earned a UFC contract in the fall with a stoppage victory against Stephanie Frausto on “Dana White’s Contender Series.” Prior to then, she had a five-fight run of finish wins on the regional scene.

Markos was looking to break a year-long losing streak. The 16-fight UFC veteran has lost her last three fights, with the most recent of the trio being a decision loss to Kanako Murata in November.

UFC 260 currently has two title fights at the top of the lineup. UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic is currently scheduled to face Francis Ngannou in the main event.
