UFC is looking to book a flyweight bout between Jennifer Maia and Jessica Eye for a July 10th card, per a report from Guilherme Cruz and Damon Martin of MMA Fighting.
The fight, which has not been signed off on yet, is the first to be reported for a July 10th show. The location for the card is not known currently.
Should the fight be confirmed, it will be Maia’s return after losing a title shot to UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko in November. Being listed as a huge underdog, Maia fought to a unanimous decision loss against the longtime champ at UFC 255.
Maia’s previous fight saw her submit Joanne Calderwood within a round with an armbar.
Eye will attempt to snap a two-fight losing streak the next time she enters the cage. Her last two fights have resulted in decision losses, including a fight against Calderwood and a five-round bout against Cynthia Calvillo.
