UFC’s May 1st lineup has seen two changes in its lineup, gaining a bout and tweaking the matchup of another. The fights are scheduled to take place at a “Fight Night” card that does not have a confirmed location at the moment.
Kim Out, Replaced By Silva Against Botelho
Poliana Botelho has been given a new opponent for the card, as Ji Yeon Kim has been replaced by Mayra Bueno Silva, per a report from Diego Ribas of AgFight.
Silva is coming off a February fight against Montana De La Rosa that resulted in a majority draw. Prior to then, Silva had an armbar win against Mara Romero Borella.
Botelho will be looking to come back from a loss, as her last bout resulted in unanimous decision win for Gillian Robertson.
Markos vs. Pinheiro Moved May 1st
Randa Markos and Luana Pinheiro’s strawweight bout has been given a new date, now being booked for May 1st. The fight was first scheduled for UFC 260 on March 27th, although it was later moved ahead due to COVID-19 protocol. News of the fight moving to May 1st was first reported by Guilherme Cruz of MMA Fighting.
Markos will be attempting to end a three-fight losing streak that she developed in 2020. Her last loss was in November, where she dropped a bout on scorecards to UFC newcomer Kanako Murata.
Pinheiro will be making her UFC debut. The 27-year-old prospect impressed critics in November, stopping Stephanie Frausto within a round on “Dana White’s Contender Series” to earn a UFC contract.
UFC’s May 1st card is currently scheduled to be headlined by light heavyweights Dominick Reyes and Jiri Prochazka. Here is how the lineup looks currently.
