Bellator 255’s prelims have gained two new bouts, per a recent report from Joe McDonagh of Cageside Press. The new fights will take place at the Mohegan Sun Arena behind closed doors in Uncasville, Connecticut, USA.
Magomedov Given New Opponent, Now Booked Against Hamilton
Magomed Magomedov has been given a new opponent for his Bellator return, now being paired against Cee Jay Hamilton for Bellator 255. Magomedov was originally scheduled to fight former CFFC Bantamweight Champion Jared Scoggins, although that fight was later removed from the card.
The fight will be Magomedov’s return after winning his Bellator debut against Matheus Mattos in December.
Hamilton, an LFA and Combate Americas alum, will be making his first Bellator appearance. With a pro record of 15 wins and seven losses, Hamilton enters the April fight after two consecutive wins in 2019.
Former UFC Fighter Murtazaliev To Fight Aguiar
A double debut will take place in April, as Fabio Aguiar will fight Khalid Murtazaliev.
Murtazaliev fought once in the UFC, defeating CB Dollaway in 2018. He faced a two-year USADA suspension after the fight due to steroid use. The UFC win was his most recent bout.
Aguiar enters Bellator after putting together a win streak on the regional scene. He was scheduled to appear on Bellator’s December card against Mike Jasper, although that plan was later thrown out.
