Former Cage Warriors Featherweight Champion and European MMA veteran Paddy Pimblett has joined the UFC roster, per an announcement made by the promotion on Monday.
The 26-year-old gets the call-up after a pro career that includes 16 wins among 19 fights on the regional scene.
Pimblett is best known for his success in Cage Warriors. Based out of Next Generation MMA in Liverpool, England, Pimblett put together 11 wins during his time in the promotion. His best run was from 2014 to 2016, where he strung together seven wins before becoming a champion in the promotion.
Pimblett made the move to lightweight after losing his 145-pound belt to Nad Narimani in 2017. He has won his last two fights at 155-pounds, including a recent victory over Davide Martinez.
