Injury has forced Darren Till out of his April 10th UFC main event against Marvin Vettori. News of the five-round middleweight matchup being cancelled was first reported by Ariel Helwani of ESPN.
The fight was scheduled to headline a UFC card from the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Till’s withdrawal comes due to a collarbone injury, per a report from Nolan King of MMA Junkie.
UFC are searching for a new opponent to face Vettori. A follow-up report from Ariel Helwani of ESPN has said that Kevin Holland has elected to step-in to fight Vettori, although that fight has not been finalized as of yet.
Holland would be taking a quick turnaround just weeks after losing to Derek Brunson in a main event bout in March.
Should an opponent be confirmed, they’ll be taking a fight on less than two week’s notice.
Vettori will be wagering a four-fight win streak the next time he appears in the cage. His last fight was in December, where he defeated Jack Hermansson via unanimous decision.
