Ranked featherweights Dan Ige and Chan Sung Jung, better known as The Korean Zombie, are set to meet in the main event of UFC’s June 19th event, per a report from Brett Okamoto of ESPN.
The five-round fight will sit atop a “Fight Night” card that does not have a confirmed location at the moment.
Ige returns to the main event spot after earning a 22-second knockout on Gavin Tucker in March. The win saw Ige bounce back from his first loss in years, which came against Calvin Kattar via unanimous decision in July. The fight was Ige’s first main event since joining the UFC in 2018.
Prior to the five-round loss, Ige had an impressive six-fight win streak in the UFC.
Zombie will be looking to bounce back after losing a headlining fight via decision to Brian Ortega in October. Zombie’s was given the main event fight after scoring first-round wins over Renato Moicano and Frankie Edgar.
Ortega, the featherweight who beat Zombie, is projected to get a title shot against Alexander Volkanovski later this year.
