Competing for the first time since suffering a torn ACL last year, Aspen Ladd will fight Macy Chiasson at UFC’s July 24th card, per a report from Brett Okamoto of ESPN.
The bantamweight bout is the first to be reported for a July 24th date. The location of the event is not known at the moment.
Ladd has been inactive for over a year now due to injury. While she was scheduled to fight Sara McMann in June of last year, that bout was eventually removed from a lineup due to Ladd suffering injuries.
Ladd’s last fight was in late 2019, where she stopped Yana Kunitskaya in the third round of a bout with strikes. The fight was a bounce back from her previous appearance, where Germaine de Randamie handed Ladd her first pro loss.
Chiasson is getting a new fight booking shortly after adding another win to her record. The 29-year-old Fortis MMA fighter earned her seventh pro win just last month, fighting to a decision win over Marion Reneau. The win was Chiasson’s fifth since joining the UFC in 2018.
