UFC are giving a welterweight bout between Neil Magny and Geoff Neal another shot, as they are currently looking to book the fight for their May 8th “Fight Night” card. News of the potential matchup was first reported by Brett Okamoto of ESPN.
Should the fight be made official, it would join a card that does not have a confirmed location at the moment.
Magny and Neil were first set to face off last year in August, although that fight was later cancelled after Neal withdrew.
Magny was still able to compete on that date, defeating Robbie Lawler via decision for his third consecutive victory. Magny has fought once since then, losing to Michael Chiesa in a five-round fight early this year.
Neal also lost a main event fight in his last appearance, fighting for 25 minutes against Stephen Thompson in December before losing on scorecards.
