A strawweight bout between Amanda Ribas and Angela Hill has been re-booked just days after it was removed from a UFC “Fight Night” lineup. The matchup is now slated to take place on June 5th, per a report from Marcel Dorff.
The location of the “Fight Night” card is not known at the moment.
A fight between Ribas and Hill was first set to happen at UFC’s May 8th card. However, the fight was removed the day of the card after Ribas tested positive for COVID-19.
Ribas now has a second chance to face a UFC veteran in Hill. She was given her first UFC loss earlier this year, getting finished in the second round of a bout against Marina Rodriguez. Prior to then, Ribas had attained four wins since 2019.
Hill snapped a two-fight skid in March, putting together a solid striking performance against Ashley Yoder for a decision win.
Heavyweights Jairzinho Rozenstruick and Augusto Sakai are currently expected to headline UFC’s June 5th event. Here is how the card looks at the moment.
