UFC’s August 21st card has recently gained two new bouts. The newly reported matchups have been added to a card that does not have a confirmed location at the moment.
Flyweights Pantoja and Royval Paired Up
After a busy rookie year in the UFC, Brandon Royval will make his return in August to face Alexandre Pantoja. The fight was first confirmed by Farah Hannoun and Nolan King of MMA Junkie.
Royval had a strong start in the UFC, scoring wins against Tim Elliott and Kai Kara-France last year. His quick rise through the flyweight division was stopped in an unofficial title eliminator fight, where injury took him out late in the first round against Brandon Moreno.
Pantoja returned to the win column three months back, scoring a decision victory against former RIZIN Bantamweight Champion Manel Kape.
Saldana and Lingo Matched Following First UFC Win
Both coming off their first UFC wins, Luis Saldana and Austin Lingo have been matched up, per a report from Nolan King and Mike Bohn of MMA Junkie.
Lingo’s first UFC win came earlier in the year, where he defeated Jacob Kilburn in a strong three-round performance. He was coming back after his first pro loss, which came to Youssef Zalal in 2020.
