Hoping to continue the win streak he has developed in recent months, Sean Strickland will fight Uriah Hall at UFC’s August 7th pay-per-view event. The matchup was first confirmed by Brett Okamoto of ESPN.
The fight will take place at UFC 265, which does not have a confirmed location currently.
Strickland has found himself on a busy win streak after making his return to action last year. Making the move to middleweight, Strickland’s return fight in October was his first appearance since 2018.
He has now won three fights since returning in the fall. His last bout was in May, where he fought to a unanimous decision win over Krzysztof Jotko.
Hall is also on a win streak, having picked up four consecutive victories since 2018. His last win came in a gruesome fashion, as opponent Chris Weidman suffered a broken leg in the opening moments of their fight.
Prior to then, Hall had a stoppage win over Anderson Silva in a main event fight from October.
Amanda Nunes is expected to make her return to the bantamweight division against Julianna Pena in the main event of UFC 265. The 135-pound title fight headlines a card that currently has four fights reported for it.
