Featherweights Collin Anglin and Melsik Baghdasaryan will both make their UFC debut in a July 31st pairing. The matchup, which was first confirmed by Nolan King of MMA Junkie, is part of a lineup that does not have a location confirmed currently.
Both fighters are entering the UFC after strong showings on the 2020 season of “Dana White’s Contender Series.”
Anglin appeared on the fifth episode of the season, handing Muhammadjon Naimov his first pro loss in a unanimous decision performance.
Anglin was first set to get his UFC debut in February against Seung Woo Choi, although he was eventually pulled from the fight.
Baghdasaryan appeared just two weeks later, where he defeated Dennis Buzukja on scorecards in the main event of the episode. He wasn’t actually signed on the episode, although he is now seeing his next fight take place in the UFC after all.
UFC’s July 31st event does not have a main event set up currently. The other confirmed bout for the event currently is a pairing between Jinh Yu Frey and Istela Nunes.
