Kevin Lee will make the return to welterweight when fighting undefeated prospect Sean Brady at UFC’s July 10th pay-per-view event. The matchup was confirmed by MMA Junkie on Saturday.
The fight joins UFC 264, which is set to happen at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Lee will be appearing at welterweight after a two-fight stint at lightweight. His run in the 155-pound weight class started with a win, as he knocked out Gregor Gillespie on a late 2019 card. He then lost a main event bout to now-lightweight champ Charles Oliveira in February of 2020.
The fight in July will also be Lee’s first appearance in over a year. He has a tough challenge in his return, fighting an undefeated contender that is quickly rising up the division.
Brady has attained four wins since joining the UFC roster in 2019. Most recent of the win was in March, where he submitted Jake Matthews in the third round of a bout with a rear naked choke.
