Three fights have recently been reported for UFC’s July 31st “Fight Night” card. The matchups join a lineup that does not have a confirmed location at the moment.
Korean Talent Choi and Kang Given Matchups
UFC’s Korean social media confirmed that Dooho Choi and Kyung Ho Kang will both return in matchups at the promotion’s July 31st card.
Choi will be making his first appearance in over a year when fighting Danny Chavez in a featherweight fight.
Choi has fought infrequently over the past half-decade, fighting three times since 2016. He is currently on a three-fight losing streak, putting him in a potential must-win situation in his next fight.
Chavez is coming back after losing a decision to Jared Gordon in February. The fight was his first loss since he joined the UFC roster in 2020.
Like Choi, Kang will be appearing for the first time since 2019 when fighting Rani Yahya.
Choi had a busy run in 2019, picking up three consecutive wins in the calendar year. Now after a year outside of the cage, Kang will face a veteran.
Yahya will be returning after scoring a win in March, submitting Ray Rodriguez in the second round of a fight with an arm triangle choke.
Stolze To Look For First UFC Win Against Lazzez
Attempting to score his first UFC win, Niklas Stolze will fight Mounir Lazzez in July, per a report from Farah Hannoun and John Morgan of MMA Junkie.
Stolze lost his UFC debut in July of last year, fighting to a unanimous decision against Ramazan Emeev. Prior to then, Stolze had a four-fight win streak on the regional scene.
Lazzez is also coming off a loss, as his last appearance saw him get stopped within a round by Warlley Alves in January.
Lazzez won his UFC debut in the previous fight, defeating Abdul Razak Alhassan last year.
