Former UFC fighter Anthony Pettis won’t be competing at PFL’s June 10th event, as he has been withdrawn from a fight against Alexander Martinez. Taking his place will be Natan Schulte, as first reported by Diego Ribas of AgFight.
The new fight will take place on the main card of a card at the Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA.
Pettis reportedly withdrew from the card due to illness. He was set to make his second PFL appearance, looking to bounce back from an upset loss that he took to Clay Collard earlier this year.
The change now gives Schulte his third opponent for June 10th. He was first set to face Mikhail Odintsov, but was given Raush Manfio after Odintsov withdrew.
Pettis and Manfio are now expected to meet in a lightweight fight at PFL’s June 25th card. That event will be PFL’s final regular-season card and will focus on heavyweights and lightweights primarily.
Boxing champion Claressa Shields will make her MMA debut in the main event of PFL’s June 10th card, facing Brittney Elkin at lightweight. Here is how the card looks in total now.
