Kyler Phillips has received a new opponent for UFC’s July 24th “Fight Night” card, now facing Raulian Paiva instead of Raphael Assuncao. The opponent change was first reported by Mike Heck and Guilherme Cruz of MMA Fighting on Sunday.
The fight joins a card that is set to happen at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Assuncao’s withdrawal from the date reportedly comes due to injury.
Now with a new opponent, Phillips will be fighting to continue what has been an undefeated UFC run so far. The 26-year-old has scored three wins since making his UFC debut last year.
Phillps last earned a win in March, fighting to a unanimous decision over Song Yadong at UFC 259.
Paiva will look to add a third win to his current streak of victories with the fight. He scored two wins last year, defeating Mark De La Rosa and Zhalgas Zhumagulov.
Paiva has been sidelined since the fall, as two different UFC bookings have fallen through for him.
