Fighting to bounce back from what was a rough start to his year, Kevin Holland will face Kyle Daukaus at UFC’s October 2nd card, per a report from Damon Martin of MMA Fighting.
The fight is set to take place on a card that does not have a confirmed location at the moment.
Holland has lost two five-round fights this year, dropping landslide performances to Derek Brunson and Marvin Vettori. The fights were only weeks apart, with the booking against Vettori being taken after Darren Till withdrew from a fight due to injury.
Holland’s lackluster year came after a successful 2020 that saw him score more wins than any other fighter on the UFC roster. The 28-year-old won five fights last year, including four via stoppage.
He now faces Daukaus, who is returning after taking a unanimous decision loss to Phil Hawes in May. The former CFFC Middleweight Champion’s promotional record is currently one win and two losses since joining the roster last year.
