Both fighting to return to the win column, flyweights Cortney Casey and Liana Jojua will face off at UFC’s August 21st card. The matchup was first confirmed by Nolan King of MMA Junkie last week.
The fight is set to happen during a “Fight Night” card that does not have a confirmed location currently.
Casey, a UFC veteran of over five years, is attempting to break a two-fight losing streak. She most recently took a split decision loss earlier this year to JJ Alrich.
Prior to then, Casey was submitted by Gillian Robertson last year.
Jojua’s last loss came via doctor stoppage due to a cut she took in the first round against UFC newcomer Miranda Maverick last year. The bout moved Jojua’s promotional record to one win and two losses.
