UFC has parted ways with middleweight fighter Omari Akhmedov just days after his split decision loss at UFC 264, per a report from Guilherme Cruz of MMA Fighting.
Akhmedov is departing the UFC roster after 15 fights and over eight years in the promotion.
Akhmedov fought last weekend at UFC 264, where he lost on scorecards to Brad Tavares. He had been somewhat successful recently prior to the loss, having won four of his five fights from 2019 to 2021.
The best part of Akhmedov’s promotion run went from 2016 to 2019, where he score five wins through six fights.
Akhmedov, 33, finishes his UFC run with a promotional record of nine wins, five losses and one draw.
