Many changes have happened to the Bellator schedule as of late (Bellator)

Bellator’s July 31st card has seen many recent changes as of late, having gained two bouts while losing two others. Also, the promotion is eyeing an event in South Dakota next month.

This issue of the Bellator Roundup will break it all down.

Bellator 263 Loses Two Fights, Gains Two

With just over a week until Bellator 263, the card is seeing some small adjustments. The changes affect a card that is set to take place on July 31st at The Forum in Los Angeles, California, USA.

A fight between ranked bantamweights Magomed Magomedov and Raufeon Stots has been pulled from the card, per a report from Nolan King of MMA Junkie. It is not known at the moment why the fight departed the lineup or if it will be moved to a new date eventually.

The fight was set to see Magomedov look for his third consecutive win since joining the promotion just last year.

A flyweight fight between Vanessa Porto and Ilara Joanne is now set to take place on the card.

Porto will be fighting to bounce back from losing her promotional debut to Liz Carmouche earlier this year. She was making the move to Bellator after a long stint in Invicta FC.

The fight will be Joanne’s first appearance in over a year. She last appeared in late 2019, where she was finished by then-undefeated prospect Kana Watanabe.

Bellator veteran Daniel Carey will return against newcomer Gadzhi Rabadanov at a catchweight of 150-pounds.

Carey has competed six times in Bellator since 2018. He has been out of the cage for some time now, with his last fight being a stoppage loss to Aaron Pico in early 2020.

Rabadanov enters Bellator with a pro record of 15 wins, four losses and two draws. He last competed in February, where he scored a win against Valery Gritsutin on an EFC card.

A fight between Alejandra Lara and DeAnna Bennett has been moved off the card and re-booked for August 20th, per a report from Danny Segura and Nolan King of MMA Junkie.

The fight is the first to join Bellator 265, which will take place at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, USA. The location for the show was first reported by MMA Island.

The venue has been a frequent host to MMA in recent months, as regional promotion LFA have visited the venue 10 times since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
