Antonio Arroyo To Face Finisher Joaquin Buckley At September 18th UFC Card

Antonio Arroyo will look for his first UFC win when facing Joaquin Buckley at UFC’s September 18th “Fight Night” card. The new fight was first reported by Mike Heck and Guilherme Cruz of MMA Fighting.

The fight joins a card that does not have a confirmed location at the moment.

Arroyo has lost his two appearances in the UFC thus far. He last competed in late 2020, where Deron Winn defeated him via unanimous decision. His previous fight in the promotion dated back to 2019 against Andre Muniz.

Arroyo was originally set to return in June against Tom Breese, although that fight didn’t get to happen.

Buckley will be returning after being stopped early this year by veteran Alessio Di Chirico.

Buckley was a viral star last year, having scored a spinning back kick knockout against Impa Kasanganay and another finish win over Jordan Wright just months later.

A main event for UFC’s September 18th card is not known at the moment. Here are the fights that have been reported for the show thus far.
