Returning after an explosive win earlier this year, Jamie Mullarkey will face Devonte Smith at UFC’s October 2nd card. The lightweight bout was confirmed by Farah Hannoun and Nolan King of MMA Junkie on Friday.
The location for UFC’s October 2nd show is not known at the moment.
Mullarkey’s first UFC victory was a highlight reel performance in March, as he stopped Khama Worthy in only 46 seconds with strikes. The finish saw him hurt Worthy with a left hook before finishing him with punches on the ground.
Mullarkey had lost his two previous UFC appearances via decision.
Smith is also coming off a win, having defeated Justin Jaynes in February due to a doctor stoppage. The performance was his third UFC win through four appearances in the promotion.
