Sam Alvey has a new booking after his previous plans fell through.
Veteran UFC fighter Alvey will battle Wellington Turman at the promotion’s August 28th “Fight Night” card. The change was announced by promotion officials earlier this week.
Alvey and Turman will meet on a show that is expected to take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Alvey was previously booked to fight Roman Kopylov at UFC’s July 31st card, although that bout was removed from the lineup just four days before it was set to happen.
Now with a new opponent ahead of him, Alvey will be looking for his first victory since 2018. He has lost five of his last six, with the other appearance recently being a draw.
Turman will be aiming to snap a two-fight losing streak. He was finished just two months ago by Bruno Silva on a “Fight Night” show.
