Marcin Tybura will look to continue his momentum up the heavyweight division when facing veteran Alexander Volkov at UFC’s October 10th pay-per-view event. News of the heavyweight matchup was first reported by Guilherme Cruz of MMA Fighting on Tuesday.
The fight joins a card that is expected to take place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Opponents have not been able to stop Tybura for over a year now. The heavyweight has kept active since early 2020, having picked up five consecutive wins in that timespan. His most recent bout was in June, where he stopped Walt Harris within a round.
The recent upswing of wins is a dramatic turnaround from his 2017 to 2019 stretch of fights that resulted in one win and four losses.
Volkov will be looking to bounce back from a main event loss he took against undefeated contender Ciryl Gane earlier this year.
