The second iteration of a fight between Sean Brady and Kevin Lee has fallen through, as their matchup scheduled for UFC’s August 28th card will not happen.
Brady has reportedly suffered a foot infection and is now out of the fight, per a report by Mike Heck of MMA Fighting.
The fight was set to happen at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. It is not known at the moment whether Lee will get a new opponent for the card.
A fight between Lee and Brady was first booked for a card in July, although it was later moved ahead because of an injury to Lee.
Lee’s return to the cage is now possibly delayed. The UFC veteran last fought in early 2020, losing a five-round fight to now-UFC Lightweight Champion Charles Oliveira.
Lee was going to move back up to welterweight for the bout against Brady.
The fight was set to be a big matchup for Brady, who has gone undefeated through his first four UFC appearances.
UFC’s August 28th card is set to be headlined by Edson Barboza and Giga Chikadze. The lineup currently has 10 fights in total.
