Bellator 264 lost two fights on Tuesday, knocking the lineup down to nine bouts in total.

A positive COVID-19 test to Danny Sabatello has removed him from this weekend’s Bellator event, per a report from Alexander K. Lee and Mike Heck of MMA Fighting.

Sabatello was scheduled to fight Johnny Campbell at Bellator’s August 13th card from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, USA.

It is not known at the moment whether Campbell will get a new opponent for the card.

The fight was set to be Sabbatello’s second since signing with Bellator. He made a splash in his promotional debut earlier this year, fighting to a unanimous decision win over former UFC fighter Brett Johns.

Campbell was also coming off a successful Bellator debut that saw him submit Henry Corrales with a rear naked choke.

A fight between James Adcock and Nekruz Mirkhojaev were also removed from the card due to “health and safety protocols,” per an announcement made by Bellator.

Mirkhojaev was set to reutrn after over a year outside of the cage. The two-fight Bellator alum last fought outside of the promotion, defeating Harun Yakhyaev on an Ased FC card.

Adcock was set to make his Bellator debut after a win in AFC earlier this year.

For the time being at least, Bellator 264 is down to nine fights in total. The card is set to be headlined by Bellator Middleweight Champion Gegard Mousasi and UFC alum John Salter.
