The ongoing season of UFC TV show “The Ultimate Fighter” will culminate live later this month at a “Fight Night” card.
The finalists of the show are set to appear at UFC’s August 28th show, per a report from Aaron Bronsteter of TSN.
The grand final bouts will happen at the same venue where prior fights on the season took place: the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. The event is currently set to be headlined by featherweights Edson Barboza and Giga Chikadze.
Following the report, a poster of the finale event has been tweeted by Alexander Volkanovski. The UFC Featherweight Champion has been one of the coaches for this season along with Brian Ortega.
UFC has aired 29 seasons of “TUF” since it first started in 2005. The ongoing season, which first aired in early June, was the show’s return after a three-year absence.
Two of four finalists for the show are set at the moment. It is expected currently that bantamweight Ricky Turcios and middleweight Bryan Battle will appear at the event.
The other bantamweight final will be determined on Tuesday night when Vince Murdock and Brady Hiestand fight.
The second middleweight fight in the semi-finals is set to be between Tresean Gore and Gilbert Urbina. That bout is expected to air on the August 17th episode of the show.
