PFL Announces Undercard For Featherweight and Light Heavyweight Semi-Finals

The full 10-fight lineup for PFL’s third and final semi-final playoff event was announced recently.

The event, which is set to take place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, USA on August 27th, will feature four fights in the promotion’s playoffs. Those main card bouts will give fighters the chance to punch their ticket to the grand finals in October, where they will fight for a grand prize of $1 million.

The four playoff bouts for the card were determined earlier this year with two regular season events. The matchups for those bouts were reportedly previously, with featherweights Brendan Loughnane and Movlid Khaybulaev set to compete in the main event.

The main card will also feature 2019 champion Emiliano Sordi, UFC alum fighters Antonio Carlos Junior and Cezar Ferreira, and more.

The top fight of the preliminary card will see regular season competitors Sheymon Moraes and Lazar Stojadinovic face off.

Moraes, a former UFC fighter, picked up one win in the regular season by defeating Jesse Stirn with a second-round submission. The sole victory for him was not enough to qualify him for the playoff bracket. Stojadinovic also fought once earlier this year, losing a decision to Movlid Khaybulaev.

Veteran Chris Camozzi will return for his third PFL bout when facing Cory Hendricks on the prelims.

Camozzi fought to a win and a loss on scorecards in the regular season. Finishing with three points in total, he didn’t make it into the bracket. Similarly, Hendricks couldn’t make it through off the third-round submission victory he secured against Marthin Hamlet. The win was his PFL debut.

Featherweights Anthony Dizy and Jesse Stirn will look for their first PFL win when fighting on the prelims. Both fighters appeared once during the season, losing their bout.

Featherweight veteran Jason Knight will make his PFL debut on the prelims when facing Bobby Moffett. Knight is joining PFL after a stint of bare-knuckle boxing bouts. He notably fought a two-part series against Artem Lobov for BKFC in 2019. His last fight was in June, where he defeated Charles Bennett in a bare-knuckle MMA fight.

Moffett is currently on a three-fight losing streak that includes his PFL debut against Bubba Jenkins from earlier this year.

A double promotional debut will also happen on the prelims when Alejandro Flores fights Carl Deaton III. Flores, a Combate Americas and “Dana White’s Contender Series” alum is getting the call-up after earning two consecutive wins over the past two years.

Deaton III will be making his return to MMA, as his last bout was a loss to Jonas Flok in late 2019.

The opening fight of the card will feature LFA alum Brandon Jenkins, although his opponent is not confirmed at the moment.
