Misha Cirkunov will make the move down to middleweight for the first time on October 2nd to face Krzysztof Jokto at a UFC “Fight Night” card. News of the bout was announced by UFC earlier this week.
The matchup joins a card that does not have a confirmed location at the moment.
Cirkunov’s entire UFC career has taken place at light heavyweight up until now. His promotional record currently sits at six wins and four losses.
He took a loss in his last showing, getting stopped in just over a minute by Ryan Spann in March. The bout was his first appearance since 2019.
Jotko is also coming off a loss, having dropped a unanimous decision to Sean Strickland in May. He had attained a strong three-fight win streak in 2019 and 2020 prior to the defeat.
