Just days after Tresean Gore’s semi-final win aired on the season finale of “The Ultimate Fighter,” news has broken that he will not be able to compete in the grand final later this month.
Gore has suffered an injury that has removed him from his August 28th bout against Bryan Battle, per UFC President Dana White in an interview with TMZ.
In ironic circumstances, Gilbert Urbina will be stepping in to face Battle in the finals. Gore defeated Urbina on this week’s episode of the show, stopping him in the second round with strikes.
The new matchup is scheduled to take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
UFC President White has guaranteed that Gore will get a UFC shot post-injury.
Gore is undefeated as a pro with three wins from 2018 to 2020.
