Flyweights Maycee Barber and Montana De La Rosa will meet at UFC’s December 11th pay-per-view event, per a report from Nolan King and Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie.
The fight joins a lineup that does not have a confirmed location currently.
Barber fought out of a two-fight losing streak recently, earning a split decision win against Miranda Maverick in July. The bout was her first win since 2019, with her previous bouts being scorecard losses to Roxanne Modafferi and Alexa Grasso.
Barber is still one of the youngest fighters on the UFC roster, competing at just 23-years-old.
De La Rosa also just recently returned to the win column. The eight-fight UFC vet scored a stoppage win in June, finishing Ariane Lipski late in the second round with ground and pound.
De La Rosa had been winless for a year previously, with a draw and a loss being her two previous outcomes.
UFC Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes will fight Julianna Pena at UFC 259. The event could also reportedly get a lightweight title fight between Charles Oliveira and Dustin Poirier. Here’s the updated lineup.
Bout 4: Charles Oliveira (31-8) vs. Dustin Poirier (28-6) (UFC Lightweight Championship)
Bout 3: Amanda Nunes (21-4) vs. Julianna Pena (10-4) (UFC Bantamweight Championship)
Bout 2: Kai Kara-France (22-9) vs. Cody Garbrandt (12-4) (Flyweight)
Bout 1: Maycee Barber (9-2) vs. Montana De La Rosa (12-6-1) (Flyweight)
